Video Game Design

Here is a post written by one of our students that describes his coding and one of his game's goals:


Discord is your opponent.  He is worth 10 points.  If you touch Discord with your points increase.  If you touch yourself your points decrease by 10.  The goal is to get as many points as you can.  The array is 90,and the border is 46.

Minecraft Design

What I like about Minecraft is that you are able to build towers.  Train lots of animals. Yesterday I went through a very hard maze.  I was really good.  I thought I could not do it but I did it.  Today I built a big tower with a big beam in it.  I trained lots of angry wolves and some kitties.  I made lots of friends.  Minecraft is the BEST!! :)  ~ K.G.

Adventures in a Popular Game

Minecraft, a very popular game about placing and breaking blocks, has been our class topic.  We have been making simple houses, making a small community.  The teacher has even built us a mall to put our own shops in!  We are planning to make a hotel and town hall.

Brain Training

I am very happy I am in brain training because I will learn all of the presidents - Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Adams, Jackson, Van Buren, Harrison, Tyler.  I made a lot of friends.  Brain training is the best.

Brain Training is FUN!

In International Ivy I take Brain Training.  We learned the presidents.  We played games to test how skilled we were and our memory.  Brain Training has made my brain smarter.  Brain training is fun!! :)

Brain Training

In brain training we play lots of fun games. Some of the games I liked the best were number tilt, acts and learning the first 10 presidents' last names.  I can say them all. Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Adams, Jackson, Van Buren, Harrison and Tyler.  It's a little confusing but it is fun.  The best thing I've done so far is arrow colors, where you need to say the color of arrows as fast as you can for like 3 lines.

International Ivy

In International Ivy, I took creative writing and brain training.  We wrote about memories and we made a skit.  It made my writing better and stronger.  In brain training we took a test and played games to help us memorize better and train our brains. International Ivy is fun and helpful.

Writing

This week we are taking a creative writing class in the morning.  In this class we wrote about a special moment that we had in our life.  Then we focused on dialogue to make a skit.  I think this class is very helpful for our classes next year.
