This week at Scotch Plains is extra special because we are having Color Wars! Throughout the week, campers are participating in different activities to earn points for their color team. They played taboo in their teams on Monday and competed in a funny Minute to Win It challenge yesterday. At the pep rally, campers selected a team captain and name. Tomorrow, in addition to crazy hair day, campers will wear the color of their assigned team for more points. On Friday, the winning team will receive three extra Ivy points! Activities on deck for the rest of the week include a trivia challenge and lip sync battles. Our campers love Color Wars and can't wait to see which team wins!
Face the Cookie Minute to Win It challenge
Campers are having a great time in their classes this week too! Competition Training for the Math Athlete is preparing campers for success in math competitions. They are completing practice problems and learning strategies for solving them. Listen below to a camper explaining his reasoning. Impressive!
In Mobile App Design 1&2, campers are creating their own video games. How fun? Robotics Level 1 Animals is awesome too. Campers are building different animals out of Legos and programming them to move accordingly. Today they built dolphins and had them programmed to move as a dolphin would. Amazing!
