Goodbye to You

Week 7

Chatham has always prided itself on the relationships that are built during the summer season. This being our last week, emotions and goodbyes are on everyone's mind. This year in particular is a tough one for the campers and staff. Dan, our resident Minecraft teacher is leaving Ivy. In his 5 years with Ivy, Dan has taught over 50 classes and worked with more then 500 campers. If you have ever come to the Chatham location you know who Dan is. He is the first teacher here in the mornings and the last to leave everyday.
He is always playing with the kids and never sits out of a break game. The kids take Minecraft just to be with Dan all day. He has been arguably the most influential teacher within our summer program. He is the role model that every child wants to be like and every counselor should strive to be. We here at International Ivy wish Dan nothing but the best. Although we are devastated that he will be leaving us, we know goodbye is not forever and I am sure he will be visiting us when he can. Good luck to you on your path to greatest!

Check out the video we made for him with all the campers in it!
