Chatham Week 2: Magic Class

"Magic was AWESOME! We learned cool tricks that I'm not allowed to tell you the secret to (a magician never reveals his/her secrets.)  We also had to figure out "The Magic Knot"  I haven't figured it out yet, but it was fun!  International Ivy is the best!"

Chatham - Greek Mythololgy

"I am taking this class called Greek Mythology.  It is very interesting.  I am learning about many gods and goddesses. Later this week, the class will perform skits to tell a story incorporating some of the gods and goddesses. Greek Mythology is sooo much fun!"  =)

Short Hills Youngsters -Week 2 Outdoor FUN!!!!

The sun is shining and our youngsters are eager to explore nature and participate in physical activities. Running, jumping, climbing and swinging are activities that foster gross motor development.

Students can strengthen the muscles in their arms and the legs with exercise and practice!
Repeating a movement until it is comfortable can result in what is called "muscle memory."
 Then movements become automatic.

Student's engage in deep and thorough chess research which will help them build their confidence in their ability to do academic research.

When youngsters play chess they must call upon higher-order thinking skills, analyze actions and consequences, and visualize future possibilities.
