Camp Spirit in Short Hills!

Good friends chilling on the bleachers in their pajamas!

Messages from Creative Writing - Somerset Week 2

This week, our Creative Writing students wanted to contribute to the blog using some of the skills they have learned this week in class. They have talked about sonnets, poems, short stories, and specific writing techniques, such as show, don't tell. Read what these talented students have done this week.

"I wrote a poem called Twins. This poem is about twins who are in a hotel."

"I wrote a poem called Wonderland. I put my own spin on Alice in Wonderland."

"I wrote an essay called Ode to Nature. It is about how I feel when I am surrounded by nature. I used a lot of descriptive words so that I could show my reader what I was feeling, not just telling them."

Overall, the students have been having a great time in class with their teacher, Emily!

Twinning on Pajama Day!

Chatham Week 2

Theme day is always a hit in Chatham. The campers took it to a new level here. There were pajamas with donuts, Paw Patrol, SpongeBob, planes, StormTroopers, and many more. We are always on the hunt to get more Ivy Points for the Treasure Chest. With all the friends and siblings twinning was another theme. Can't wait for next week!
