Princeton week 6

Good afternoon campers!!

Week 6 at Princeton has the campers building robots in all of our classes! Our Youngsters in Left Brain have been spending half their sessions practicing Math and typing skills while spending the rest of their session building amazing animal lego robots with our WeDo Robotics kits!

Drawings about their summer vacation

Our Robotics - Level 1 - have been enjoying building their various cars and racing them around our custom made track. The robotics begin with a simple vehicle and work towards a blue tooth dragster. Each camper builds their vehicle out of Legos then they code the vehicle to move with different commands.

Oakland's Week 6 Final Mix

It's the final week here in Oakland, and we're trying to make the most of it. It's been a great summer so far, but Oakland is making sure that we've got one last hurrah to end it right!

It's a small week here, but it's anything but quiet. Excited youngsters yelp with joy as their 3D model is finally finished, or as they miraculously defeat their counselor in a board game against all odds.

3D Printing is modeling themselves a good time this week, as our campers are working hard to design and print their own three-dimensional creations. So far this week, our campers have created a stunning array of creatures, ranging from Pokemon, to more Pokemon, to a lot more Pokemon.
Bulbasaur and Magnemite are only a few of the creatures that keep making an appearance in that classroom.
This little camper fantasizes about how many Pokemon he'll be printing within the next 72 hours.
This camper is the only one not mass producing Pokemon, a true rarity.

Brain Training is focused on keeping campers sharp during the summer with memorization exercises and logical techniques. The class mainly consists of logic drills and strategic board games to assist campers in developing their minds faster during a time when many other kids don't have the same development.

These campers are working on a logical puzzle as a team.
These campers are in awe as their next challenge is announced.

Graphic Design students are hard at work designing their own graphics for their own businesses. Students build collages of their personalities, design logos for companies, and learn about the basics of GIMP to help them fully realize their dreams as a designer.

These campers work to create personalized logos for business purposes.
The instructor advises these two aspiring graphic designers on optimal corporate marketing strategy.
Oakland has been running out it's break game bucket list as well, as every idea previously shelved during the summer is coming out now. Be on the lookout for some more imaginative games from the Oakland campus.

It was a staff battle royale in the final round of the Rocks-Paper-Scissors tournament.
The agony of defeat takes it's toll on this camper.
The staff is grinning with the fun that's in store for this week. The break games will be bigger and better, and Oakland will finish up for the summer with a bang!

Winding Down for Week 6 at Somerset

Yes, it is true. This is the second to last week at Somerset! Although we are a bit sad that the next week is our final week of International Ivy, we are impressed at all of the fun we had. In fact, we had one camper who has been with us ALL SUMMER LONG! How great is that?

This week, Chelsea is teaching Robotics Level 1 - Vehicles in the morning and students are having a great time building a new vehicle, in addition to learning to program.

Week 6 at Chatham is off to a great start.  We have some pretty great classes!  We have our old fan favorites like Robotics, Youngster, Creative Writing and Minecraft, but we also have some new classes like Chemical Engineering and Arduino.

We are also welcoming 28 new faces this week in addition to our returning campers - such an incredible number for so late in the summer!  Stay tuned for pictures from break time because we are trying out some fun new games.
