Caldwell Week 1: Memories Made at International Ivy

Chatham Week 1: Narrative Writing and Creative Writing

I was nervous stepping out of my dad's truck with juicy, natural cherries in my hand. We head across the gravel parking lot, the sun beating down on my hat. Right next to me my dad was holding the fresh picked mulberries in a tin. We headed in the garage and we set up at a table though we had a rather wobbly bench in the back. I was sweating like crazy in fear I would not sell all my fruit. Surprisingly, I was sold out of mulberries by 10:15 and I arrived at 9:00. I still had two quarts of cherries left. Now, I was sweating like crazy. Just before my dad picked me up at 12:00 I sold one more quart of cherries. We brought the remaining quart of cherries to a friend's dinner party that night. It was a very exciting day.

Chatham Week 1: Narrative Writing in Creative Writing

Tiny sparks of light floated away. My marshmallow was slightly burnt and brown. The flames of the fire felt hot on my face. Mmmmm...the marshmallow was fluffy and soft. Then we crawled into our tent to doze off with the sound of nature still ringing in my ears.

My First Time Winning a Trophy
My first time winning a trophy was when I was six years old. I was scared everyone was cheering for me. I wasn't so scared anymore. I knew I could do it. I won third place; I was so proud of myself for all the hard work I did from the classes. I practiced going around the gates. I was encouraged by my mom. My parents were do proud o me and I was too. The race was a little hard, I had to curve my edges in the snow. It was cold and the wind was blowing hard. I felt the know push in my face. Skiing is the best.

Chatham Week 1: Narrative Writing in Creative Writing

It was lunchtime and my parents weren't home. I decided to make a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. But I didn't want an ordinary peanut butter and jelly sandwich, so when I opened the cabinet with the peanut butter and jelly, I could see out of the corner of my eye was a small bottle with the word "hot" on it.

I took this "hot sauce" and spread it out on each slice of bread. Then I spread peanut butter on one slice of bread and jelly on the other. When I took a bite and it was so spicy I ran around the house trying to get cold water. When I got some I drank a lot of it. Even when I drank cold water my tongue was still burning. Then I ran to the freezer got ice cream and stuck my tongue in it.

It took nine glasses of cold water until I finished eating the sandwich. I learned not to put too much hot sauce on a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
