First Wet Day at Caldwell

It is about 95 degrees and campers are ready to jump into anything cold to cool down!
Thankfully, Wet Day is here to save the day!
The campers enjoyed a water balloon toss, water balloon fight, the dunk tank and a game with the water shooters.

Counselor John is hard at work on a project for camp, while on hall duty.

Students in the PM Robotics create their vehicle models with their teacher, Ellen, on computers.

Our Creative writing teacher, Michelle, works hard with her students on their short stories.

Dan, our resident Minecraft expert, stands with his Minecraft Engineering students as they build a roller coaster!
Campers who do not want to participate in our wet day activities have a fun game of running bases. Look at those campers run!

Robotics class is back again and campers are loving their vehicle creations more than ever!  They are currently getting ready for a friendly race at the end of the week!

Video game creation is also back this week!  Campers are learning how to create their own 3D games!

We can't forget about wet day either!!   It was the perfect opportunity to cool off on such a hot day!

Creations of All Kinds! Paramus Week 2

This week in Paramus, campers are creating real and virtual creations in our WeDo Robotics and Minecraft-themed classes.  Campers as young as five are making fully-functional (yet miniature) carnival-ride robots, while older campers learn to use Minecraft, both as a beginner and a creative engineer.  Lots of fun, teamwork, and new friends on this short week!

A robotic Ferris Wheel!
Did I mention today was Wet Day?

A look at this week's Minecraft classes

Ivy at Livingston is heating up!

While it's gotten hot outside, our campers sure know how to stay cool! Wet day couldn't have fallen on a better day this week. Our campers were ecstatic to use water shooters to stay cool.

Our campers are enjoying some exciting classes this week. The classes include:  Computer Programming Scratch, Fantasy Sports Math, and S.T.E.A.M Rollers. The scratch class has learned a lot so far. They have started programming their own animations, we can't wait to see their final product! A camper from Fantasy Sports Math said "It was so awesome being able to draft my own team and players. We had a $45 million dollar budget. I can't wait to play again tomorrow!" Our innovative scientists had a ball making snow in the 90 degree weather. We can't wait to see what's in store for the rest of the week!!

Brain training at Short Hills!

Campers having fun while playing brain training games!

Retrogaming @ Far Hills

Hey parents, do you remember that old Atari classic "Breakout"?  You remember don't you... you controlled a paddle back and forth, reflecting a ball into some bricks that would disappear on contact?  Well check out the new version made by our Mobile App Developers here at Far Hills.

This new version is called "Choco-Break".  Destroying bricks is so old school, these developers placed in mini chocolate bars to destroy.  They set different point values to the different types of candy bars resulting in a more compelling game.  Instead of a boring old paddle, the developers used a person holding a spinning umbrella.  It make's things much flashier.   Lastly, instead of a boring brick wall to bounce the ball, the developers added swirling walls that raise the difficulty by distracting the player.  This game has it all besides a plummer with a red hat.  Keep an eye out for the game in the App store soon.
