Chatham's Civil Engineering Fun

Chatham Week 5

If you ever needed proof that International Ivy students are the smartest kids on earth, look no further than the civil engineering class in Chatham. Our campers worked in teams to engineer a bridge that could span between two desks and then had a competition to see which structure could hold the most weight. The result was a ton of well-designed and amazing bridges made only out of paper, tape, straws, and paper clips. It's awesome to see these budding engineers grow at Ivy!

Color Wars Conclusion (For Now)

Red team won Short Hills Color Wars this morning by one point! Both teams have had so much fun this week doing relays and playing soccer and most of all, cheering! But the fun isn't done yet; afternoon Color Wars still isn't over!

Chelsea break time!

We've been playing fourquare (or "box ball") during break time all week.  It's gotten pretty intense!

Programming has taken over Scotch Plains this week! Campers are learning all about coding, particularly using Python...

Short Hills Pirate Day!

Arrrrrrr counselors here at Short Hills really got into the pirate spirit! 

Fantastically Plastic-y!

Whether it's with a 3D Printer or from scratch, Paramus campers are learning and having fun creating with plastic!

Our 3D Printers have cranked out model towers, keychains, and even a personalized Xbox controller cover!  The students have enjoyed learning 3D designing principles using TinkerCad, an online design platform. The better a design can be built through layering, the more efficient the printer can create it.

In Chemical Engineering, the students used simple ingredients to make their own plastic from scratch! Just let these two campers explain the process to you ....

Mismatch Day in Chatham

Chatham Week 5

Things got a little silly today in Chatham. Our students showed up to camp in mismatched clothes, wearing different socks, shoes and patterns as a part of our Thursday theme day. Some of these campers got to show off their zany outfits for the camera. Theme days are always fun in Chatham!

Color Wars starts to get intense as day 2 arrives. Everyone is having so much fun with the activities and they are so excited to participate in them. Both teams are head to head with one another. Who will be the winner?

Minecraft > Everything Else! Oakland Week 5!

This week in Oakland has been full of blocks, building, and zombies!

Students this week have been learning how to play Minecraft and building their own custom structures. We've also played a bunch of tabletop games and even some Charades - which was a great laugh!

So far, the week is going great! The students are having a blast!
