Far Hills 2015 Week 5: Our Two Construction Classes!
This is International Ivy's first summer offering construction classes where students can learn how to use an array of tools and build everything from benches to model cars! Far Hills had the pleasure to have TWO of these classes this week. To showcase just how cool it is to make something with a hammer and nails, we made a little video. Take a look!

Somerset Week 5
This week at Somerset we asked our campers to write a little about our classes.
Robotics: Vehicles
"We are making vehicles in robotics this week. We are making a Bluetooth remote control car. The programming is really long but I'm learning a lot. Robotics is really fun. We have a good teacher!"

Mid-Week 5 Highlights at Scotch Plains
This week at Scotch Plains is extra special because we are having Color Wars! Throughout the week, campers are participating in different activities to earn points for their color team. They played taboo in their teams on Monday and competed in a funny Minute to Win It challenge yesterday. At the pep rally, campers selected a team captain and name. Tomorrow, in addition to crazy hair day, campers will wear the color of their assigned team for more points. On Friday, the winning team will receive three extra Ivy points! Activities on deck for the rest of the week include a trivia challenge and lip sync battles. Our campers love Color Wars and can't wait to see which team wins!
Campers are having a great time in their classes this week too! Competition Training for the Math Athlete is preparing campers for success in math competitions. They are completing practice problems and learning strategies for solving them. Listen below to a camper explaining his reasoning. Impressive!

In Mobile App Design 1&2, campers are creating their own video games. How fun? Robotics Level 1 Animals is awesome too. Campers are building different animals out of Legos and programming them to move accordingly. Today they built dolphins and had them programmed to move as a dolphin would. Amazing! Check out the video below to see one dolphin in action.
Stay tuned to see which team wins Color Wars!
Chatham - Week 5 Highlights
What a beautiful week we're having! We have our biggest group of campers in the morning this week with 62 children and we're having an amazing time.
Our International Ivy Flickr is loaded with amazing pictures from every location. This is the link to see all the fun that not only the Chatham campers are having but the campers at other locations as well.
Today we had Wet Day, which kicks off the week's themed days. With such hot weather it was the perfect outdoor activity. Thursday is Wacky Hair Day and Friday we are having both Connect Four and Kickball Tournaments. Stay tuned for pictures!

Somerset Week 5
This week at Somerset we are up for another round of Robotics, Video Game Creation both 2D and 3D, and the ever so cool class of Fashion and Machine Sewing. All of our campers are learning a lot and having a great time!
In Robotics we are building vehicles and learning a lot about programming the Robots. It's hard work but in the end they will know how to do it on their own!
In 3D Video Game Maker, campers are creating their own mini worlds. They have built and furnished houses and are working on obstacle courses now.
In 2D Video Game Maker, campers are finished making both Catch the Clown and Evil Clutches. Today, they are beginning the design of their own video games!
In Fashion and Machine Sewing they are looking stylish. They have made so many great items like shorts, skirts, and purses. The creativity and talent is flowing in that class!
