The Chatham Museum of Art

Chatham Week 5

Come take a stroll through the halls of one of the greatest art collections this side of anywhere. No its not the MOMA, or the MET or even the Louvre - its International Ivy's canvas painting class! Our students are so talented and artistic we have been getting calls from art dealers and collectors all over the world. So the next time you take a walk through an art gallery in New York, Rome or Paris, keep an eye out for the work of our amazing artists here at Ivy.

August in Paramus!

We're having fun and exciting days as August begins here in Paramus! This week we have five interesting and in-depth courses: 3D Printing, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, 2D Video Game Creation, and Robotics!

Our campers have already made keychains, utensils, and model buildings in 3D Printing, and created their own bouncy balls from scratch in Chemical Engineering. Campers in Civil Engineering made bridges and buildings to withstand hurricanes and earthquakes. Video Game Creators made their first maze and space-invader type games.

Campers enjoyed break games, including Bean-Bag Basketball and Heads Up, and are super excited for Wet Day tomorrow! What a great mid-summer week!

All Heart Here in Chatham

Chatham Week 4

If you ask any Chatham camper what they like most about Ivy, it's not always the learning or the prizes, it's the relationships built at camp. Half way through and we have found some great friends that we never had before. Between the Leadership class working with Youngsters last week and the Video Game classes working together our family has grown by 64 this week. Today, we say goodbye to a bunch of our new friends with the hopes we will see them next summer! Here's to a great rest of the camp season. The new kids next week have no idea what's coming!

Oakland's Week 4 Comes to a Close!

Oh boy, what a week Oakland!
This week, among other things, has been full of Salami Sandwichs, Minecrafters, and some amazing 3D Prints - topped with some Ice Cream Engineering and a few Pythons (level 1 of-course)!

Definitely an amazing week~!

Here we have a vicious Python in her natural coding habitat!

Sports Day at Far Hills

Our campers today were wearing their sports gear as they started to wrap up the final week at Far Hills.

Our robotics classes built puppy robots that follow your voice and "Sumobots" that will face each other in the ring. Our Minecraft classes continued to explore their worlds and solve math problems to get supplies to survive in the wild. Our stock market campers checked the success of their portfolios, while our lemonade entrepreneurs finalized their websites in preparation for their lemonade taste-testing tomorrow.

This is the Ivy Sports Center

Chatham Week 4

Now we go back to the studio for a Sports Center live update: Chatham students are having an awesome time at International Ivy! Kids came to camp today supporting their favorite teams and donning their professional gear as a part of our special sports theme day. We have been tossing touchdowns, shooting hoops, and scoring goals all day. It looks like the Chatham Ivy kids are at the top of their draft class, so make sure you catch them tearing it up on the field next season.

Video Game Creation - Real Life Fun!

Paramus campers are having fun this week creating their video games and playing real-life ones, too!

Each day in class, they have learned to create a new type of video game, whether it be a space-invader, Angry Birds, or Mario -type game. Today's challenge was creating rules of gravity that goern their gameplay. They are very excited to choose their own for their completely original game on Friday!

The campers also enjoyed Wet Day yesterday, and indoor ball games today.

Serious Gaming in Chatham

Chatham Week 4

There is some serious video game creating happening in Chatham this week. The campers were able to give presentations today on Evil Clutches and a Maze Game. Everyone created those games together and they were able to put personal touches on the games to demonstrate their ability to use the code. We are so excited to play they their games tomorrow during sharing showcase!
