Tune in to Chopped Ivy in Summit!

Welcome to Chopped Ivy! Similarly to the television show on The Food Network, our campers will be competing in a challenge to create the most creative dish using all of the ingredients in our mystery basket. To prepare, students watched an episode of Chopped Junior in hopes of seeking inspiration for their own dishes. The rules of our challenge state that campers must use all basket ingredients and plate their meals before the time is up. Campers will be rated on the creativity, taste, and presentation of their dishes.

Today was the start of our two day challenge!

Our campers unveiled the ingredients in the mystery box!

Mystery ingredients included instant noodles, mini marshmallows, coconut water, rice crispy treats, and pretzels.

We also got to see the first taste of one camper's dish!

Campers were asked to taste their own dish and give a review before the judges tried their food. This dish included noodles in coconut water with pretzels, marshmallows, and rice crispy treats mixed in.

BOO! Today was also Halloween in July at International Ivy. We had some amazing costumes!
