Far Hills Campers Say What's Up for Week One!

From Public Speaking to Website Design, the first week of camp at Far Hills is off to a great start! Check out what campers had to say about their classes and overall experience at International Ivy. Best summer ever, here we come!

Aaditya is taking Youngerster Right Brain Mix. He says, " Camp Ivy is good because we go on nature walks and make trading cards with the pictures we take." The picture is of (left to right) Aaditya, Michael, and Miss Lauren.

Mariam is taking Public Speaking. She says, "In Public Speaking we write speeches about social issues and ice breaker speeches of ourselves. Youth Leadership is learning about social issues like health care, poverty, and hunger. Currently, we are writing speeches about them. (Mine is about Health Care and how we can arrange a compromise with other countries for the Affordable Care Act.) It is a fun experience. "

Drew is taking Website Design. He says, "Camp Ivy is really fun. Making websites is really fun. It's really easy. I'm making a Minecraft website where you can see what's in Minecraft like servers and mods."

Inchara is taking Public Speaking. She says, "In Public Speaking we wrote an ice breaker which is a story or a speech about yourself. We're also working on social issues like world hunger, poverty, and health care. We're also doing table topics where the teacher gives us a question and we have to answer the question for at least a minute. INTERNATIONAL IVY IS SO FUN!"

First Week at Scotch Plains!!!

This is International Ivy's first summer in Scotch Plains!  The campers are really enjoying their Minecraft, Shark Tank, and Video Game Creation classes!  Yesterday, they enjoyed playing Minute-to-Win-it games during break, and today's Wet Day was even more fun!

Short Hills First Week!!

Short Hills is starting off the summer with many fun games and activities! This is a great summer to try new things and meet new people! In the past two days we have already raced robots, played keep it up with balloons, and built buildings that can withstand EARTHQUAKES!! Everyone is looking forward to a great end of the week (especially with wet day today)!!!

Week 1 at Edison

So far Week 1 at Edison has been a blast! The students are really enjoying the Civil Engineering class as well as the Shark Tank class. Today, the first challenge of Minute to Win It was completed! We are looking forward to Wet Day on Thursday, and the Talent Contest on Friday!

Welcome back to International Ivy Summer Program! We are getting off to a great start here with all of our classes at Chatham.  We are excited to welcome back our returning campers and we are so excited to meet all of our new Ivy friends!

Short Hills ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge has made its way to Short Hills!! We decided to get the children and counselors involved in order to spread as much awareness of the unfortunate disease as possible!

Mix-Match Day at Short Hills!!

'Mix-Match Day' turned into 'Twin Day' at Short Hills! Campers and Counselors went all out for the last wacky day of the summer!

EDISON CAMPERS RACE TO FIND THE CLUES!

This morning, students in Edison competed in the first ever International Ivy Scavenger Hunt! The counselors worked hard to scatter the clues in the most hard-to-find spots. Four teams went head-to-head to see who would come out on top. Each team worked together  in order to solve the riddle and find the next clue. But of course, only one team could be crowned the winner. Finally, after a close race to the last clue, Team Three was crowned the champion of the 2014 International Ivy Scavenger Hunt! We look forward to doing this activity again next summer!

Camper Chat! Week 7 - Edison

Students this week decided to blog about their time at International Ivy. Most of them are saddened that this is the last week of camp, however, they had a blast going to International Ivy!

"This is the last week of International Ivy Summer Program, and I am a mix of excited, happy, upset, and depressed. Why? Because International Ivy camp's classes were so fun, and at the same time I just don't want to go! Kenny, Sherry, Leigh, and Brianna are so nice and exuberant, and the crash courses are so fun! I learned so much and like everyone else, I'll be missing Ivy this year. Thank you, and keep continuing this awesome, spectacular, and phenomenal yearly camp! You're definitely in my good books! Thanks counselors! And by the way,...:) :) :) #IVYFOREVS.

"It's the last week of International Ivy. I'm in the movie making and animation class. It is so awesome! I got to make movies by drawing on a white board, moving pebbles, and using clay to make figures! I'm really sad that it is going to be on Friday. I'll miss my awesome teacher, Brianna, a lot. But I had a great time this week. I'll also miss my awesome counselors, Kenny, Sherry, and Jeff."
