Short Hills Week 3- Youngsters enjoy creative arts

There’s more to arts and crafts than just making cute pictures to hang on the refrigerator. Each time your child creates something, he or she actually sharpens important skills that they'll be able to use for the rest of their lives.
Here are some life skills being developed in our youngster program when the kids participate in arts and crafts.

  1. Arts and crafts help develop fine motor skills.
  2. Arts and crafts build positive self image, self esteem, confidence, and imagination.
  3. Arts and crafts provides a positive release.
  4. Doing arts and crafts encourage self-expression.
  5. Arts and crafts is also good for relationship building.

Some creative projects can also breathe new life into old, discarded objects.

Making artistic choices helps learners understand more about themselves and their personality.
